The Brampton Celebrity Clowns were established in the 2002 and sponsored by the Brampton Kiwanis Club. They participated in their first Brampton Santa Claus Parade in November 2002. This fun loving group is formed from business people and individuals who make a donation to become a clown with all proceeds dedicated to children's charities.
Participants attend a get acquainted reception a few days before the parade and then on the day of the parade, arrive to the Brampton Kiwanis Clubhouse to be made up and have costumes fitted. The clowns are then transported to the parade marshaling area by bus and after parade enjoy an reception.
The Celebrity Clowns then hit the parade route with the Kiwanis antique fire truck flashing its lights and sounding it's siren while playing Christmas Carols, all to the delight of thousands of children and adults along the parade route down the Main Street of Brampton.
